screech owl
I've been hearing an owl calling in the woods, finally looked it up, and found out it's a screech owl. Here is a link to a YouTube video that sounds exactly like what I've been listening to.

Hi Kathleen,
Over on my Sugar Mountain Farm blog on the Round Red Barn post you asked about round barns. I don't know. There is an interesting wiki page on round barns. Apparently there was first a period of polygon barns like the one at the link you left and then the true round barns like the one on my post. Reading about how it took them two years to finish building makes me feel better about how long my construction projects take! :)
